This is a very handsomely brought dramatic story. The protagonist Ellen at 37 looks back at the atrocities she had to endure in her youth. I loved this book. The weaving together of past and present was seamless, and allowed the reader to discover the central subject of the book in a natural trickling of snippets of information. Despite its shocking nature, it was an amazingly redemptive story. I HIGHLY recommend it!
