Joanne Rivoli likes this book as his masterpiece, more for adults than Blankets, and I do like it a lot, in all of its joy and anguish...
I read this not knowing what to expect, knowing that it would be a side project illustrated travel diary, and that the author has inserted a great, humble disclaimer as the introduction. Random reading selection. I love both travelogues and graphic novels, though this was the first time I've come across of combination of the two in one book. Mixed results. Beautiful haphazard travel sketches. But I liked his Habbibi and Blankets better for its content .
