Sinossi

This is a book written especially for those who suffer from an overwhelming willingness to help others. A member of my family was told by a psychologist she works alongside, that many of the problems she had in her life were as a consequence of this very mindset, but how can you change it if that is Leggi tutto
The title of this book is what drew me to reading it however I really don't like the title. There are plenty of ways to be assertive (which is what this book is about) without actually being a dick. It's a fine line. You can say no, you can stop worrying about how others see you without any nastine Leggi tutto
This was an okay read. Although I wouldn’t say I found it all that helpful to me personally. I think I’m too nice to be a d*ck, lol. Also, some of the sections were irrelevant to me, like the work section, as I work for myself, and the parents and children section, as I don’t have kids. I did enjoy Leggi tutto
2.5 stars Luckily this was a pretty short read because I probably would have stopped reading if it was any longer. Honestly, I wouldn't consider this much of a "self-help" book. Instead, it moreso came across as a comedic coffee table book. Some of the "tips" are helpful but it still isn't a book that Leggi tutto
I was disappointed; as so many of these books, it’s more a memoir, ‘how I became this’ than ‘how can you become this’. No real attention is given to how the reader can learn to change their mindset, as the title promises, without the personal ‘aha’ moments the author had to bring her to change her m Leggi tutto
