Sinossi

Not the usual nonchalant throwing about of ingredients, but a more mature Jamie. Respectful of his resources, a true love and enjoyment of Italian cooking, and ditto for the nonnas. A must have!

What a let down. After three great books in a row from him... possibly three of his best (Super Foods, Super Foods Family and Quick & Easy 5 Ingredients) this one hits the bookshops. When it comes to Italian recipes, there are books done a lot better and with a lot more originality than this book. S Leggi tutto
Really good recipes but only three stars because of Jamie Oliver's stupid obsession with the bloody 'nonnas'. Nobody goes around Italy randomly calling absolutely every 50+ woman a 'nonna'. Another beautiful cookbook from Jamie Oliver devoted to Italian cooking. The book has a really nice beautiful layout and also nice stories about the place and people who inspired these recipes.
Okei, mistähän sitä aloittaisi. Jamien italialainen keittiö on ensimmäinen Jamie Oliverilta lukemani keittokirja. En seuraa miestä, mutta ns. foodiena hänestä on oltava peruskäsitys. Luin kirjaa enemmän Italia-innosta kuin Jamien vuoksi. Keittokirjaksi teos on pitkä. Ensimmäiset 200 sivua ovat kiinnos Leggi tutto
This book has a real homely feeling to it. The pictures are great. Recipes are simple and the ingredients easy to get. There is a recipe for anyone in this book. I didn't like the front of the book.
Jamie's book is gorgeous, that's undeniable - the food photography, the mini biographies about the Italian nonnas along with their inspirations and Jamie's short descriptions; they're all eye-catching and thoroughly edited for maximum present-ability. Unfortunately, that polished approached, along w Leggi tutto
Jamie and Gennaro travel through areas of Italy this time that truly thrilled me watching the series on TV. So many we have travelled to ourselves but their approach to find the real Nonnas and country cooking of each stop was wonderful and from it some pretty great tasting recipes. As usual with g
Lovely recipes for those who know local traditions, with some wonderful people and their stories behind. Beautiful book and good food. Not all the ingredients are easy to find in grocery store, but you can always replace it if you know this culinary culture :)
