Sinossi

Someone recently asked me what review I enjoyed writing the most, and, well, this is it: I have a massive problem with this book. It’s one I’m a little embarrassed to admit. The problem is not with the writing or the characters that Stevenson has created; it’s not even with the plot. The problem resi Leggi tutto

3 items worthy of note in Robert Louis Stevenson's classic treasure "Treasure Island": 1) There are a ton of tropes! Arr, me matey! I've finally downed the children's classic, Treasure Island. Sadly, these pirates weren't nearly as sexy as I was expecting. Where were all the sweaty pirate abs I've come to expect from the plethora of trashy romance novels I've gobbled down over the years? Not here, that's for damn sur Leggi tutto

YO-HO-HO AND A BOTTLE OF RUM!!! This is the iconic novel about pirates that it stands as the best example in this topic and easily one of the most adapted to other media novels in any genre. I can remember having watched several adaptations, live action films, animated movies, even an animated film us Leggi tutto
