The book does not live up to its title of being the final word on Hitler's death. That would be impossible without the full cooperation of the Russian authorities which was not provided. Parts of the book are highly readable but those describing the authors' endeavours become tedious padding.
A decidedly underwhelming book that does nothing to live up to its title. Ik las dit boek in het Nederlands. Die versie staat echter niet op Goodreads, vandaar dat ik de Engelstalige versie heb genomen. Dit is geen boek om in een keer uit te lezen. Not having been very familiar with the many controversies, studies, documentaries, and other explorations of the mystery surrounding the ultimate end of Hitler and Eva Braun, I am less critical of this book than others who have reviewed it on Goodreads.
