A hilarious book about a dog who is totally oblivious to other dogs' problems as he becomes incredibly self-absorbed over a splinter in his paw. The other dogs experience big accidents which lead to much more serious problems but Winston is too focused on his own problem to notice.
Winston Was Worried is about an over-dramatic dog who has a splinter in his paw. He keeps repeating that ‘there’s nothing worse than having a splinter in your paw’ and ‘everything bad always happens to me’. He is completely oblivious to all the bad things that are happening to his friends, like; bei Leggi tutto
I love this book. I had to study children's literature for my degree and so I have seen MANY forms. This one is clever, has plenty of adult humour and is also very bright, colourful and sweet. I like it and is worth a read (it will take about 10 minutes!) even if you don't have kids. I wish I was go Leggi tutto
LOL! what a story, the text is clever and the illustrations are amazing Just look at them, there is a tiny little story in them that's hiding in plain sight. and the story sure makes you look at things with a different outlook. I'll say- buy it to your little one, most chances you'll enjoy it too!
The first time I read this book I fell in love with it! 'Winston Was Worried' is a hilarious book about a dog who is oblivious to other dogs’ problems because of his own dramatic obsession with the splinter in his paw. The other dogs’ problems are a lot more serious than Winston’s problems, such as Leggi tutto
Winston got a splinter on his paw and he was far too worried to play. Winston believed that he was so unfortunate. On the way to the vet, he met his friends. Winston thought his splinter was the worst problem ever. So, he was busy whining proudly to his friends, not realising when Angus was pulled by Leggi tutto
This book was a good picture book. It was excellent how the pictures told most of the story, that the words did not. This would really encourage young readers to explore the whole of a book. I also enjoyed that it was quite humorous
More fantastic illustrations by the inventive Benji Davies really brings the story to life.
Funny book. He doesn't realise that he's not the only one
First Christmas present read.
