Dapprima turbata da quella rivelazione, a poco a poco Alice inizia a interessarsi sempre di più alla storia della donna, una psicologa sua coetanea, e non perde occasione di chiedere informazioni ai vicini. Con suo grande sconcerto, però, tutte le persone che fino a quel momento l'avevano accolta con calore e gentilezza si chiudono in un silenzio ostinato. Quasi che quella vicenda fosse una ferita ancora aperta. Come se ciò non bastasse, Alice comincia a notare delle stranezze – finestre aperte che era sicura di aver chiuso, oggetti spostati di pochi centimetri – e in lei si fa sempre più forte la sensazione di essere osservata. E si rende conto che c'è qualcosa di oscuro nascosto tra le pieghe di quella comunità apparentemente perfetta e che frugare nei segreti degli altri potrebbe rivelarsi fatale…
Doveva essere un sogno, invece si è trasformato in un incubo…

Wow. That was something. Alice is definitely a stupid person.
3.5 STARS This was a fun book for me that didn't require a lot of over thinking! It was pure escapism! I had a similar reaction when I read the author's The Breakdown in 2017 (which I loved and gave 5 stars too because it just had that addictive quality to it). Okay! This one is not my favorite work of the author! It’s good! Above the average! But not freaking marvelous like her other books! 3.25 a little upper from Switzerland zone (which means: A little better than neither I like it or I hate it zone) I was so close to give 3.5 stars and round up to 4 if Leggi tutto
Super quick and easy domestic thriller that actually was a lot of fun to read! The MC could probably use a therapist though 😂
