Corre l’anno 885 e la Terra degli Angli è un regno in pace, ma diviso. I danesi hanno esteso i propri domini nei territori a nord, i sassoni hanno rafforzato il loro potere a sud. Un corso d’acqua separa i due mondi: il Temes, l’odierno Tamigi.
