E ancora Noah e Daw, che con i loro amici provano a capire come conciliare passione per la danza e scelte di vita.
E mentre si apprestano a incontrare il proprio futuro, nell’ultimo anno insieme prima del tuffo nel mondo, ognuno di loro comprende il significato dell’amore, dell’amicizia, della fatica, del tradimento e della felicità.
Nella crasi più perfetta tra racconto e romanzo, Brandon Taylor ci regala un affresco genuino e completo dell’America oggi, tra disuguaglianze e possibilità, tra privilegio e valore, tra individualità e unione. E ci fa riflettere sul fatto che, in fondo, non esiste un momento in cui tutto cambia: ne esistono molteplici, come le vite di un pianeta, come le storie che ci toccano nel profondo. E la vita adulta incomincia quando raccogliamo questi momenti e ne cuciamo una mappa, a indicarci chi siamo.

I liked Taylor's first novel a lot, but this one less so. There is a lot about it that's interesting, it has a throwback feel as if Henry James was writing about a bunch of Gen Z grad students, which you may have gleaned already from the title. Ultimately this one never came together for me the way

For me it was a loose collection of ramblings interspersed with casual violence and a lot of oral sex.
