In un mondo dove la morte è costantemente dietro l'angolo, l'onore è un lusso che pochi possono permettersi. È così che Kinch, a cui Galva risparmia la vita, viene costretto dalla Gilda a seguire la ragazza in un viaggio che unirà per sempre i loro destini. I due si troveranno coinvolti in un'epica avventura segnata da inaspettati pericoli e doppi giochi da svelare, in un paese devastato dalle guerre, dove i goblin sono affamati di carne umana e mostri leggendari si rifugiano nelle profondità del mare.

Given my normal slowness this was a very quick read. It was one of the rare books that I MADE time for rather than fitted into the bits and pieces of spare time that come my way. Buehlman is an excellent writer who has honed his skills in other (closely related) genres. I think he carries something f Leggi tutto
Holy hell this was awesome. So funny, so harrowing, so endlessly inventive. Almost every page made me laugh or wonder at some phenomenally clever turn-of-phrase. I cannot wait to see where the story goes from here.
