Toddler-oriented short nursery rhymes, with Van Hout's characteristically colorful illustration style. Visually refreshing, and a nice collection of rhymes.

The description is right: the exuberantly messy illustrations are the best part of this book. Many of the songs/rhymes are familiar, but some aren't. The recording is fine, but not polished.

While I appreciate the colorful, abstract illustrations in this book, there is not enough here either in content or in the included CD of music to make this a worthwhile read/listen.
