Definitely worth a read because of how much this book rebelled against contemporary expectations - not only sex, but the musings on modern society (which I really enjoyed) provide a critique of the taboos around the body which still exist today. I usually quite tolerable towards old classics and try to ignore things unacceptable in modern books. But I couldn't find anything good in this one. Even ignoring sexism and homophobia, the story about love has too much hate in it. First, the toxic masculinity is strong in this one: constant wining
