Hemingway - che non apprezzò mai l'immagine - ne fa menzione nel suo "A moveable feast". Fitzgerald confidò comunque all'amico di averla amata ma di non amarla più. Sempre apprezzata dai lettori, oggi è una delle cover più celebri di tutti i tempi.
