Quando giunge allo Chàteau Landry, un antico e isolato castello dell'Alta Savoia che ospita un'esclusiva clinica psichiatrica, la giovane dottoressa Constance Sedgwick non sa che cosa la aspetta. Un intreccio in cui si mescolano ambientazioni gotiche e mondo onirico, psicoanalisi e morte. Un'opera che ci trascina in una vallata in cui non si insinua mai il sole per mostrarci come le creature più spaventose che possiamo incontrare si nascondano nelle pieghe della nostra mente. For the first half of this book I thought, "intelligently written, generally convincing, but only mildly interesting."
