Interesting story - I guessed the murderer pretty early on but it was fun to see how it developed and how the detective worked it out.

I forgive a lot in Golden Age crime fiction, and this is a perfect example of why. Two and a half stars. Very slow going at the start with lots of re-hashing the facts by McNab and Scotland Yard. Fairly easy to spot the culprit. Nicely written though overall rather disappointing.

Really struggled to finish the book. TMI. Characters are boring. It just plods along.

A slow start but then an excellent read!! I love a BLCC and this one was perfection. Set in a bookshop what's not to love
