A decent fantasy story with likable characters. However, nothing too special. There was few I actively liked or disliked, so I won't have much to say and might forget it fast, but it did entertain me. It has been many ages since I last read this little gem. Darkover history, tragedy, and politics draw you into a deep story that helps the reader understand the mysterious world. Definitely a must read for lovers of Darkover.
