Due caratteri lontani per indole, estrazione e cultura, che da subito si attraggono e respingono tra continui scontri e fraintendimenti in un rapporto complesso, la cui evoluzione appassiona i suoi lettori da oltre un secolo e mezzo. Pubblicato per la prima volta a puntate sulla rivista di Charles Dickens «Household Words» tra il 1854 e il 1855, il romanzo è stato trasposto in due serie televisive di successo della BBC.

Update June 16, 2018 : I watched the BBC production this past week and it was outstanding! I highly recommend pairing the book with the movie.
