Regno che si rivelerà essere quello della loro eterna disgrazia. Il testo è percorso da invenzioni fantastiche e magnifiche, che leggono il meraviglioso e l'orribile con medesima eleganza e grazia. Questa edizione presenta il romanzo eponimo e i sette episodi che completano la narrazione Beckfordiana, alla maniera delle "Mille e una notte".

A good example of 18th Century Gothic Literature. A bit on the moralizing side but good nonetheless. Worth a read for those interested in Gothic Literature. Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars
