Seems this one is dependent on the performance and if the actors can pull it off, it‘s probably great fun and Fallstaff strikes again, or is brought down again. “A man may be too confident.” "The Merry Wives of Windsor" is generally loathed by scholars, and loved by audiences. The reason is not hard to detect.
