Ma Henry è anche − del tutto involontariamente − una parte importante della vita di Kristin, fresca di divorzio. Sola nella sua casa vuota di Filadelfia, cade anche lei vittima di un’ossessione, non per la fama ma per il bell’attore inglese, e si convince che il loro destino sia di stare insieme: non dovrà che prendere un volo per Londra perché la loro «relazione» diventi realtà.
Ai margini del sogno è una sorprendente meditazione sulla celebrità nel nostro momento storico, quando i confini tra la vita interiore ed esteriore, tra l’essere preda o inseguitore, vengono sfumati da infiniti schermi luminosi, grandi o piccoli che siano.
