The pilgrimage of the Gypsy folk and a love story with Charles the 5th. It gets you that feeling of reading stories of the Brothers Grimm. But it

Maybe the real love arc was between the mandrake and the archduke all along…

A fun surrealistic fable not far of from Nezval’s Valerie or a film by Jan Svankmajer, but somewhat warbling at times and with a bit of unnecessary melodrama. But a great read nonetheless.
