Peccato che sia la solita bugia e che Evie, come al solito, stia mentendo per carpire informazioni da un tutto sommato forse non così limpido Ryan. Peccato, perché la sua vittima questa volta è davvero carina e la vita che le promette è proprio il genere di esistenza che Evie ha solo potuto brevemente sognare di tanto in tanto leggendo qualche romanzo d’amore. In fondo si trova lì per fare il suo lavoro, in cui è così brava, e poi sparire.
Ma un giorno, durante una festa, le si avvicina la fidanzata di un amico di Ryan e sorridente le si presenta. Strano nome, il suo: Lucca.
Lucca Marino. Molto strano. Anche perché è il vero nome di Evie. Qualcuno almeno bravo quanto lei a mentire, improvvisamente, è sul terreno di gioco.

Huh??? This was so hard to follow. Between all of the random flashbacks, alias names, and random characters, half the time I had no idea what was going on. Apologies if you bought this because I posted it, but I hope you like it more than I did!

Yes! This is what I call an intense psychological thriller. I love how different it was from the typical plot of unfaithful couples, psychopaths hiding in plain sight or buried family secrets.
