La trama si snoda a suon di lettere, come scene di un perfetto testo teatrale: vedova da soli quattro mesi, Lady Susan fa visita alla famiglia del cognato nella tenuta di Churchill per mettere a tacere le voci sulla sua tresca con un uomo già sposato e con un altro pretendente molto più giovane di lei; lì farà innamorare anche Reginald, il facoltoso primogenito della famiglia De Courcy... Unico romanzo di Jane Austen che ha per protagonista una donna adulta, questo divertente capolavoro di cinismo e ironia è ancor più ammirevole se si pensa che l'ha scritto la giovane figlia, nemmeno ventenne, di un ecclesiastico di campagna.

I read the book then watch the movie for BookTubeAThon 2018 and I have to say... they have some differences and the movie might be a bit better. It's so silly and funny and can't recommend it enough!
