I've already started reading Rebecca Goldstein's (for comparison purposes), which is reinforcing my belief that it's a cliche, or should be, that a Jew of Orthodox background who fancies himself a free thinker will be drawn to the mystique surrounding this philosopher. Really, who wouldn't be?
