In formato Deluxe i Before Watchmen, i prequel della graphic novel. In che modo le speranze dei Minutemen si sono dolorosamente infrante? In più, la miniserie Silk Spectre, in cui ci viene mostrata una storia personale di una delle componenti del gruppo. Questo volume contiene Minutemen e Silk Spectre, scritte entrambe da Darwyn Cooke, autore anche dei disegni della prima miniserie, affiancato per la seconda parte del volume dai disegni di Amanda Conner. Contiene Before Watchmen: Minutemen 1-6, Before Watchmen: Silk Spectre 1-4.

This is compilation of two novels. “Minutemen” gives that backstory to the original creation of the group in the 1940’s, and “Silk Spectre” provides her backstory. “Minutemen” was very good. If this were just Minutemen, I would've rated it 5 stars. The Silk Spectre issues were still very enjoyable, but not quite 5 stars, so it's a 4.
Wasn't too sure about these Before Watchmen series, but this is one volume that really does stand on its own, particularly the Minutemen series. Darwyn Cooke has become one of the best craftsmen in comics, with his Parker adaptations, and he does some of his best work on this. Framed by Hollis Mason Leggi tutto
I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it's quite good, better than I was expecting. On the other, it's not Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons doing it, though Gibbons at least seems to have given his blessing to the project. Fans of the original Watchmen graphic novel will be thrilled to have
