I loved Bill's character, and the llamas were also endearing, but Uncle Shawn's deus ex machina appearance is not what I needed. Read this with my 11YO, and sometimes 5YO, and kept laughing out loud. Readers will either appreciate the humor, or not. I read this as part of an excellent scheme at school to encourage reading. The teachers have all been given a mystery children's book. We are to read it, then pass it onto a pupil in our class.
