A good read… but not near as amazing as the first. The gothic, eeriness of the first book, The Miniaturist, is missing here. 3.5 Stars. This was a good read but I was wishing for a little more depth to the storyline than there was. The ending of the book came together nicely but again I felt it was a bit lackluster.
