

Sinossi
Ossessionato da oscuri ricatti, Samuel Fennan, un alto funzionario del Foreign Office, si suicida. George Smiley è stato l'ultimo a parlare con lui per verificare una denuncia anonima che accusa Fennan di aver fatto parte in gioventù del partito comunista.
