What a fun children's book! It definitely shouldn't be taken literally: it introduces some basic cooking essentials, but it takes on a Grimm fairytales type of twist because we 1. don't need cages to hold people and 2. these recipes aren't real. I felt a little weird reading this book. IT was funny and a bit sick. But if you ever want to know how to catch (poison apples, pied pipper) a princess, cook her (Sleeping Beauty must actually be sleeping or witches will get food poisoned) and served, this book is for you.
