This is much like an 18th century Horatio Alger story, about a London pickpocket who becomes rich after many adventures (including multiple pirate attacks) and finds God and Gold. Actually read a printed-out PDF from ECCO. Wouldn't recommend this edition, which is ugly as all get-out. Fabulous weird book.
I hated this. I tried, I really tried but there’s no way getting past the very long very detailed very boring life of Colonel Jack.
