Set in both Rome and Africa, this novel was a look at the life of the Vestal Virgins and what happened under Augustus or Octavian Caesar. I love Ancient Rome so I enjoyed this book. DNF: I tried so so hard to finish this. For four months. Life’s too short to force yourself to read a book that’s not for you when there are others out there you will love though. So for that reason, I’m out.
