Per esempio, non ha più senso parlare di "mondo occidentale" e "mondo in via di sviluppo", aumentando il baratro tra noi e il resto del pianeta, quando ormai quasi tutti i Paesi stanno raggiungendo lo stesso livello in termini di istruzione, di opportunità e di crescita. Abbiamo tutti la possibilità di usare la forza dei fatti a nostro vantaggio, per capire e non lasciarci accecare dalla rabbia, dall'ignoranza, dalle semplificazioni. Grazie anche a storie ed esempi di una chiarezza disarmante, Rosling ci sprona a essere curiosi, ma non si limita a fare domande, ci risponde avvalendosi della verità dei fatti.
