Filosofo del negativo e della contraddizione, padre di una fisica e di una cosmologia protoscientifiche fondate sul divenire e sul movimento, Eraclito oppone resistenza a qualunque riduzione interpretativa che tenti di definirne i tratti dottrinari. La sua proverbiale oscurità e lo stile enigmatico e sentenzioso hanno stimolato fin dall'antichità innumerevoli interpretazioni, e lo stato frammentario della sua opera costituisce un'autentica sfida per le operazioni esegetiche dei moderni. Questa edizione una disposizione tematica dei frammenti e restituisce dunque una sistematizzazione plausibile della riflessione eraclitea, mentre il commento permette di collocare il pensatore ionico nel suo contesto storico e filosofico.

Obviously 5 stars for Heraclitus's fragments, but this translation is complete garbage and should not be read by anyone.
