Sinossi

A universal rule: college books are always the worst. THE END.
Sue me, but I found this book almost impossible. Only my obsession with actually finishing books I started kept me going, and the occasional whiff of genuinely funny sarcasm. Joseph Andrews was, in my mind, a much worse book than Tome Jones, even though it was supposed to be an obvious parody. Tom J Leggi tutto
Henry Fielding devoted a fair amount of literary energy to satirizing his contemporaries, in particular Samuel Richardson, whose Pamela is considered one of the earliest instances of the English novel.
