Con i nemici ai confini, gli umani devono assumersi il rischio di "camminare nella memoria", immergendosi nei ricordi pericolosamente avvincenti degli Antichi, per scoprire gli indizi necessari alla loro sopravvivenza. E il tempo è essenziale, perché il leggendario drago blu Tintaglia, da tempo creduta morta, è tornata. Ferita in una battaglia con gli umani, si sta indebolendo e solo l'Argento nascosto può farla rivivere. Se Tintaglia muore, andranno persi per sempre i ricordi antichi che custodisce, una perdita devastante che causerebbe l'estinzione definitiva dei draghi. Nel frattempo, però, il pericolo incombe anche al di fuori della città, perché la guerra fra le magiche creature alate e coloro che vorrebbero distruggerle è ormai imminente...

Definitely not my favourite series in the Realm of The Elderlings but Blood of Dragons was my favourite book in the Rain Wild Chronicles overall. Oh God it pains me -- deeply -- to be awarding a 1 star rating to a book written by my favourite author, but I have to be honest, I just couldn't be getting along with this book at all. Characters that had previously seemed so fleshed out and three-dimensional (Sedric, Relpda and Malta for example)
