Se questo fosse il riassunto di un libro normale direi che questo romanzo è assolutamente fantastico. E avvincente! (Anche se, a leggere le copertine, tutti i romanzi sono fantastici e avvincenti.) Vi racconterei del destino di una scatola che contiene le fialette di 99 odori per comporre una "Sinfonia dei Profumi". Vi descriverei le avventure di due giovani e coraggiosi eroi, Cassandra e Max-Ernest, scappati di casa alla ricerca di un mago scomparso in strane (e inquietanti) circostanze. Vi accennerei a codici da decifrare, rapimenti in istituti di bellezza e misteri egizi. Ma, tristemente, non posso dirvi nessuna di queste cose: potrebbero invogliarvi a leggere il libro. E non è il caso: se il titolo di questo libro è segreto, la sua storia lo è ancora più. Perché racconta di un segreto che tormenta persone come voi da più di... oh no! Ho parlato del segreto? Allora ormai è troppo tardi! Ho paura che nulla vi fermerà a questo punto. Aprite il libro, se proprio dovete. Ma per favore, non ditelo a nessuno. Età di lettura: da 12 anni.

Definitely one of the best books I've read this year. Reminded me of a cross between the Lemony Snickets and The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart. This book was so good! My inner child loves it :) Two adventurers and the magician are investigating a lot of things but what makes this worth the read is the spectacular writing style! Highly recommended.
4 Silver Stars with Golden Sparks the writing style was the strongest point, best & the fun part. it started so mysteriously that just made me more intrigued only because of the style!
