Sinossi

This goes first, all else follows! Got it? Good. Thank me later.
This is an introduction and overview of C.G. Jung's psychological theories. It's a short book, just 152 pages of text, and Jacobi covers Jung's basic concepts. Though I briefly studied Jung's ideas in college, it was a long time ago and I remembered just enough to confuse myself. Jacobi's writing is Leggi tutto
An excellent and readable book about Carl Jung's analytical psychology, with a Forward by Carl Gustave Jung. I found it very helpful and informative. I do recommend it, especially, if you are new to Jung's sophisticated ideas and concepts.
3.5, some interesting ideas and enough of a reason for me to want to delve into Jung's own works.
Coming to terms with your own psyche is a superpower. Everything I do, think, say, dream and hope is intrinsically connected to my subconscious. As I read this book this started to become clearer and clearer and it made me think of HOW and WHY I do the things I do. It can be so rewarding to learn ab Leggi tutto
This book goes a step further than Freud in the aspect that ritual is embedded deep within the human soul that derives from the primal evolution of man. The rituals of the past show up in specs of nuances from the common knowledge of religions, philosophies, feelings, and understandings. For example Leggi tutto
Leggi tutto
I cannot lie, this text felt pretty great. However, I know absolutely nothing about Jung, and therefore cannot say if what I have learned is actually reflective of Jungian Psychology. Below is what I got: Jacobi touches on the Jungian picture of the Psyche, separated into the collective unconscious
Leggi tutto
I'm more interested in reading C. G. Jung's books after reading this title. Has a lot of information about dreams and religion and the unconscious meaning they contain.
