Che diciassette anni sia un’età meravigliosa lo dice solo chi li ha passati da un pezzo. Lo sa bene Fanny Funke che nella sua vita improvvisamente non ha trovato più niente che andasse per il verso giusto: amici, genitori, scuola… Al punto da decidere di mollare tutto e di andare a fare uno stage in un albergo. Di sicuro però non sapeva dove sarebbe finita nel luogo più sperduto delle Alpi svizzere in un Grand Hotel indubbiamente suggestivo ma chiaramente in rovina e con una clientela a dir poco variegata, fra oligarchi russi, industriali americani, scrittori di gialli, attrici, ex atlete olimpioniche e, per fortuna, almeno un paio di bei ragazzi. E dove, in qualità ultima arrivata, le tocca subire le angherie di alcune colleghe, le pretese tiranniche del proprietario e l’irritante comportamento dei bambini ai quali deve fare da babysitter. Ma quella che minaccia di diventare una faticosissima routine, si tramuta ben presto in una straordinaria avventura, quando l’atmosfera festosa dell’hotel viene stravolta da un tentato rapimento, che farà capire a Fanny di chi può veramente fidarsi e che cosa cerca veramente nella vita…
Ancora una volta Kerstin Gier fa centro con una giovane protagonista irresistibilmente simpatica, indecisa e fantasiosa come tutte le adolescenti e al tempo stesso intraprendente e spiritosa come una giovane donna pronta a prendere in mano il suo destino. E con un romanzo sorprendente, divertente e imprevedibile per mesi nelle classifiche dei libri più venduti.

Pluspunkte für den tollen Humor der Autorin und die schöne Atmosphäre rund um das Wolkenschloss. Ich konnte beim Lesen direkt den Stil von Kerstin Gier wiedererkennen und habe mich direkt "zuhause gefühlt".
