1.5 stars. This series has officially lost its charm. I didn’t like the last book and this one just confirms it. It was dull and the comedy wasn’t that good.
We need Rodrick's backstory
I wasn’t expecting the book to focus almost entirely on Rodrick with very little Greg, but after fifteen years of these books, it makes sense. Not exactly what I read Wimpy Kid for, but still fun, and I liked the kids at the bar mitzvah going crazy for the band.

This is a disappointment of a DOAWK book, usually rare from Kinney but increasingly common as the series progresses.
