Dopo essersi sottratta al giogo di Amarantha e averla sconfitta, Feyre può finalmente ritornare alla Corte di Primavera. Per riuscirci, però, ha dovuto pagare un prezzo altissimo. Ma mentre Feyre cerca di barcamenarsi nel fitto intrico di strategie politiche, potere e passioni contrastanti, un male ancora più pericoloso di quello appena sconfitto incombe su Prythian. E forse la chiave per fermarlo potrebbe essere proprio lei, a patto che riesca a sfruttare a pieno i poteri che ha ricevuto in dono quando è stata trasformata in una creatura immortale, a guarire la sua anima ferita e a decidere così che direzione dare al proprio futuro e a quello di un mondo spaccato in due.
