Una donna bellissima procede spedita sulla spiaggia, il volto ha un'espressione decisa e divertita. Un passo dietro di lei, un uomo più anziano la segue facendole ombra. La foto ritrae Pablo Picasso insieme a Françoise Gilot, la pittrice che per quasi dieci anni condivise il mondo e la vita del grande artista, diventando la sua musa, la sua più stretta collaboratrice e la madre dei suoi figli. Quando, nel 1964, anni dopo la fine della loro relazione, Françoise Gilot decise di raccontare la loro storia, Picasso fece di tutto per impedirlo: le fece causa tre volte, perdendo ogni volta perché lei riuscì a dimostrare che tutto ciò che aveva scritto non era altro che la verità.
