Mimi Van Dorn è una delle più care amiche di Jessica. Trasferitasi a Cabot Cove ben prima che la cittadina diventasse alla moda, ormai diversi anni orsono, al suo arrivo si è subito schierata contro la proposta di trasferire la sede della biblioteca per far posto all'ennesimo complesso residenziale, assicurandosi così l'affetto della famosa scrittrice. È inevitabile, quindi, che il ricovero d'urgenza dell'amica, nel lussuoso ospedale privato appena inaugurato in città, desti in Jessica fin dal principio molta preoccupazione. E la situazione si aggrava ancor più alla notizia della sua tragica, e inspiegabile, morte. In cerca di giustizia, nel suo inimitabile stile, Jessica intraprende pertanto la propria indagine personale. E, sulle tracce di ciò che inizialmente sembrava trattarsi soltanto di una tragica fatalità, scoprirà presto che l'amica è stata vittima di qualcosa di molto più sinistro. Jon Land is still really missing the mark on this series. It is better than his efforts with Manuscript for Murder, but faithful fans of the books will still likely be disappointed. I received this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest opinion. I enjoyed this Jessica Fletcher mystery book. Reminds me of all the shows I used to watch when I was growing up. Really fun read.
I still think Jon Land is missing the mark with these books since taking over the series. A lot of scenarios and dialogue are not true to character. I also think he makes stuff up about Jessica’s past as he goes along to better fit whatever the plot pertains to. I’m willing to keep reading future bo Leggi tutto
Another disappointment. If you are a fan of this series don't even bother. While some things have improved from the last book, it just does not give justice to the wonderful series it has always been.
