Fin quando Joe chiede ad Amber di aiutarlo in qualcosa d’impensabile… Laura Lippman si dimostra ancora una volta una maestra assoluta della trama e del ritmo, oltreché una profonda indagatrice dell’animo umano, coinvolgendoci in una storia che presto comincia a muoversi con la rapidità disarmante di una biglia su un piano inclinato, fino all’inaspettato colpo di scena finale.
