Una bellissima giovane dell'alta borghesia fiorentina soffocata nel suo appartamento, deposta nuda sul letto con una rosa nera tra le gambe; una donna uccisa e lasciata bruciare in una chiesetta sconsacrata, forse durante un rito satanico; un extracomunitario marocchino freddato a colpi di pistola sul Ponte Vecchio. È appena iniziata l'estate del 2004 e Firenze assiste scioccata a un'assurda escalation di violenza che sembra non avere un filo conduttore. Michele Giuttari, maestro del thriller italiano, costruisce in questo romanzo una detection serrata, nella quale niente è come sembra, e ogni certezza può crollare nel giro di poche ore. E ci suggerisce che la verità, a volte, è più sconvolgente degli incubi.

3.25 stars. I've really enjoyed several of Giuttari's books. This one, while it has an interesting conspiracy at its heart, was a bit of a letdown.
