im so sad this wasn't for me because maeve fly was my #2 of 2023. im not a fan of choppy fragmented writing styles that just set the scene & tell me things instead of showing me. also HUGE TW for the most horrific dog death ive ever read. 3.5* I enjoyed this but I felt like there was something missing for me. Could definitely just be a me thing, but it still had great moments. Maeve Fly was more my jam but I’d still recommend this one. (It also has a pretty brutal dog death, so TW for that)
