2.5 stars. Really nice illustrations but a lacking storyline. The city that was meant to be dirty with pollution was depicted in lovely bright colours, the pollution was shown in green water colour which actually looked beautiful so was quite confusing. The story told me little more than when people Leggi tutto
Another book bought for my tree year old granddaughter, this book is beautifully illustrated. It tells the tale of a forest. In the forest are many trees, until people come along and chop them down. At first it is only a few trees, then more and more... until eventually there is only one tree left o Leggi tutto
Picture Books Count. This is really beautiful. The watercolours are gorgeous and the message is incredibly important in light of our climate crisis.
A beautiful book, with exquisite water colour and what I could describe as felt pen art. A forest grows for thousands of years, and then people begin to take from it. Initially they take only what they need, but eventually they become greedy and obliterate the whole forest for factories and cities.

Great book. Just read Dr. Seuss The Lorax and then read this book without even knowing what it was about! Amazing coincidence there, they are the same book 40 years apart. And yet, we have learnt nothing! Really enjoyed this story, illustrations style is great too
Lovely artwork but the story was lacking any subtly or depth.
Wow, what a book to warn of man's destruction of nature and the power of Mother Nature.
