Ira ha un destino scritto nel nome. È nel fiore dei vent’anni, è brillante, ma le ossessioni la divorano, la consumano, mettono in pericolo lei e gli altri.
Clarissa è una psicologa affermata, famosa in tutta la Finlandia, una star dei talk show dove compare in tailleur griffato e tacco dodici perché vuole rispondere a un cliché.
È a lei che Ira si rivolge per chiedere aiuto. Anche se certo non l’aiuto che Clarissa immagina. Ira infatti ha soprattutto bisogno di un alibi. Perché è un’assassina seriale, una spietata killer di uomini. D’altra parte nemmeno Ira immagina cosa si nasconde dietro l’aspetto impeccabile di Clarissa, quali rischi stanno correndo la sua brillante carriera e la sua vita. Chi dunque deve decifrare l’altra? La folle serial killer che si dipinge come una farfalla o la professionista che sorride sulle copertine dei magazine? Le parole occultano, manipolano, ingannano o guariscono?
Come in una vertiginosa psicoterapia a cui il lettore ha il privilegio di assistere, Ira e Clarissa prendono a turno la parola per spiegare il proprio punto di vista, crearsi la propria via d’uscita. Alla fine non ci sarà più nessuno a cui credere, e al tempo stesso tutto sembrerà terribilmente chiaro.

I enjoyed the twists and was entertained. I was not expecting the ending and it moved at a fast pace which I liked. I was invested in how this was going to end.
