Dopo tre mesi di notti insonni, Matt ha cercato il conforto della Rete, lanciando un messaggio d’aiuto nel grande mare di Facebook. Insomma, lo Sfogone. In pochi giorni, il suo scritto si è propagato a macchia d’olio in tutto il mondo. Tantissimi genitori si sono ritrovati nelle sue parole, e in tantissimi gli hanno scritto. Questo libro è nato così, quella notte, in uno stato di grave deprivazione di sonno, ma in modo onesto e spiritoso. Puoi farcela, papà, è un libro ironico e spietato sulla paternità, perché, diciamoci la verità, diventare genitori è la cosa più strabiliante, imprevedibile e grottesca che possa capitare. Non si è mai preparati, e quelli che dicono di esserlo mentono a se stessi. Questo libro vi farà sentire un po’ meglio e un po’ meno inadeguati, ma, soprattutto, vi farà ridere fino alle lacrime, accompagnandovi lungo quella meravigliosa e folle corsa sulle montagne russe che è crescere un figlio.

Best book I’ve read this year. I laughed so much I nearly hurt myself.
Very disappointed with this book. Most anecdotes and stories were exaggerated for humorous effect, and whilst I did find it quite funny in places, overall it was a moany, sweary, catastrophising version of parenthood which was incredibly self-indulgent.
Amazing book. After reading the last two sections, I wanted to rate it with 6 stars.
The cover & title of this book caught my eye. It was on the recommended NEW humorous books shelf at my local library. That’s why I chose it. MAN VS. BABY by Matt Coyne, for those of us who have children, humorously reminds us what we went through when our kids were babies. Probably my favorite parenting book to date. So incredibly funny and honest. Loved it and laughed out loud more times than I could count. I would often read my husband sections aloud because it was so great. Definitely a great purchase for any expecting or new parents!!
