Berserk Volume 9 continues the troll arc which I won’t lie, is not my favourite, however I can see the reasoning behind it. Berserk Deluxe Volume 9 continues its excellence. We finally see Guts acquire his Berserk armor, and it looks absolutely incredible. Interestingly, this arc marks the point where I originally stopped reading the series, so revisiting and reading it again after all these years brings back memories. I Leggi tutto

This shit is just soooo good. The spectacle. The little emotional moments. I am crying and cringing with pain and yelling OOOHHHH at the top of my lungs. The art is so gorgeous, the fantastical elements so creative and terrifying. Rocks my socks.

Probably contains the coolest fight scene of the entire series so far? Can't believe I'm saying that after everything else that's happened but we've ascended further

As I alluded to in the previous volume's review, I'm not the biggest fan of the troll arc, but I think it's a necessary lull to accomplish some world building in a low stakes environment and to set up some stakes for what comes immediately after, which is pure heater.
